The "Museums in Focus" project received high guests at the Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Karelia to get them acquainted with the project results achieved: a new visual navigation system, modernization of the museum entrance area and key services for tourists (cash register, check-room, souvenir area), created a new section of the permanent exhibition dedicated to the Karelian-Finnish epic poem "Kalevala".

The Delegation of the European Union Department in Russian Federation: Ivana Norshich, Deputy Head, Laurent Boschero, Advisor for Science and Innovation, and Anastasia Zelenko, Press Secretary, noted the innovative approaches, creative component and enthusiasm of the project team while implementing such initiatives.

Igor Nikolayevich Kapyrin, Deputy Director of the Department of European Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, noted not only the great final results but also showed a high interest in the working process itself - creating a new infrastructure, interaction with Finnish partners - and also in the future plans for the development of new initiatives in the new round of the cross-border cooperation program.

We thank our colleagues for their interest in the project's achievements, as well as in the nuances, processes and difficulties that the project team meets in a difficult situation related to the spread of coronavirus infection.
