Start of the new international project Ordinary Man in a Great War
Within the first project working meeting, the Partners discussed the WP`s content and the action plan for 2020.
The meeting was conducted on February, 13 at Karelian Research Centre of RAS – the Lead partner of the project.
During the discussion, several new ideas were added to the project implementation conception: in particular, it was decided to attract more military researchers on both sides of the border, to promote project-related tourism products; the branding and PR actions were touched upon as well.
The Partners talked over some administrative and financial issues like making clarifications to the partnership agreements, reporting and communication plan and partners participation in the project activities.
For the new project KA9036 «Ordinary Man in a Great War» (OMinGW) the set tasks are:
- To improve infrastructure around memorials related to two countries military history of the 1940s;
- To increase the level of knowledge on military history and to use the gained information at the cultural events both in Russia and Finland;
- To enhance the competence of specialists working for cultural and tourism institutions;
- To develop tourism in the project target areas.
