Hossa Visitor Centre provides the latest tips and instructions on hiking and fishing in Hossa National Park, Suomussalmi, Finland. In November, four heat pumps were installed in Hossa Visitor Centre by Metsähallitus, Parks & Wildlife Finland. Three of the pumps are used in heating and, if necessary, cooling the lobby and café of the Visitor Centre. A fourth heat pump was installed to serve the kitchen space. The ecological heat pump is an effective way to reduce the carbon footprint of the Visitor Center.

The purchase of the heat pumps was part of the project “Green Solutions for Nature Protected Areas” (KA5043).
