KA6000 update from Sortavala Administration

Sortavala Administration reported on the progress in construction of a water treatment plant with capacity of 8500 cubic meters/day. Promenergo JSC, the contractor, was given design documentation for the construction object, a construction permit and the construction site was transferred to them for use. 

In order to promptly resolve practical issues the Head of Sortavala Administration held 2 work meetings in January and February 2020. 

At the moment the contractor procures equipment for the water treatment plant, gets approval for electricity supply plan of the construction site, as well as fencing and preparation of the construction site. 

Please note that a part of construction costs of the water treatment plant in Sortavala  - no less than 395 000 EUR - is Russian co-financing of project KA6000.
