Green schools exchange ideas
6 schools from Karelia Republic and Finland will exchange new ideas in environmental education at the opening seminar of the Green school project (KA5030).
The seminar will take place in Hyvarila youth and holiday center, City of Nurmes, Finland with participation of the project staff, school coordinators and key experts. The seminar will ensure readiness of the pilot schools to start the project activities and join the common work on development of the Green school model. The dates are November 26-28.
After the seminar school coordinators will arrange project presentations in 6 pilot schools. Students, teachers and parents will learn about the project activities. The project teams will be created. They’ll include school students, supporting teachers and the school coordinator. During three years the school teams and project partners will develop the Green school model and apply new methods of environmental education, which promote modern green standards in the communities.
The pilot schools represent the communities of Oulu, Joensuu, Valtimo from Finland and Petrozavodsk, Kostomuksha, Medvezhjegorsk from Karelia Republic.
