Harvest in edible trash art garden made by WasteLess Karelias project
Heavy rain didn´t matter, when group of enthusiasts gathered for harvest at edible trash art garden in Nurmes. Garden was planned and created during spring and nurtured over whole summer by volunteers. At harvest event best techniques for collecting and conserving herbs and vegetables were learned. Also some (tasty!) food was made from self collected ingredients. Conclusion was that recycled materials work very well in garden purposes and growing basis built for Nurmes trash art garden can be utilized for many years. Garden also offered good trash art ideas for participants' own gardens.
