This seminar is directed for theatre technicians in North Karelia (Finland) and Russian Karelia. The seminar is free of charge for participants.

Part 1:
Time: Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19 at 10-16
Place: Riveria, Teollisuuskatu 2, Outokumpu
Expert: Light Designer Jyrki Sinisalo (Helsinki)
Theme: Basics of Light Design

 On Saturday:

 In this part there are 6 places for Russian participants and 6 for Finnish. Meals are included.

Part 2:
Time: Monday and Tuesday, May 20-21 at 9-15
Paikka: Riveria, Teollisuuskatu 2, Outokumpu
Theme: Use of Video and Sound in Theatre
Expert: Video and Sound Designer Severi Haapala (Helsinki)

 On Monday:

basics of video

basics of image transfer

tools of video design (programs vs equipment, mapping, NDI, syphon)

On Tuesday:
-
tools of video design continues
-
basics of sound design
-
sound and video programs in performance (Qlab4, Ableton Live, MadMapper…)

 In this part there are 6 places for Russian participants and 6 for Finnish. Meals are included

Part 3:
Time: Wednesday, May 22 at 9-15
Place: Riveria, Otsola Campus, auditory, Tulliportinkatu 3, Joensuu

Theme: Carrier as a Lighting and Set Designer
Expert: Lighting and Set Designer Mikki Kunttu (Montreal)

Mikki Kunttu is internationally successful designer, who has worked in the fields of dance, theatre, popular music, opera, television and applied art. He will tell about his carrier and as a case study introduces us “Alegria” of Cirque du Soleil, which lighting he has designed.
